Since day one, Smart Cleaning has always been about doing right by others. We focused on ensuring our teams are supported and well trained in order to properly take care of our client's needs. We believe that holding ourselves responsible to the highest standards no matter how big or small the job, we can prove ourselves as being an industry leader.
Our Story
Founded in 2016, Smart Cleaning was started by Berta and Andres Chopite. Both Berta and Andres attended Indiana University in Bloomington back in the 1980s, coming from Venezuela. During this time Berta would obtain her PhD while Andres would obtain his Master's Degree. While here, they fell in love with the area, and would permanently back in the early 2000's. Berta would become a Professor, teaching at other area schools such as Wabash University and Ivy Tech, while Andres would pursue a career at Cook Medical, while all three of their children would also pursue degrees or careers.

In 2016, Berta and Andres were given the opportunity to work with a local apartment community with their summer turnover cleaning, which jump started the cleaning business. Now Smart Cleaning partners with several property management companies, businesses, and construction firms to provide high quality cleaning services.
